We are ProFix Appliance Repair Austin — a locally owned appliance repair company serving Austin since 2010, built one customer at a time.
Our Story
ProFix Appliance Repair Austin began in 2010 with Travis Kolander, one pickup and a garage full of parts. After eight years on a retailer's service contract, he was tired of calls capped at thirty minutes and repairs that came back a month later.
So he built the business around a slower first visit: test the machine properly, explain what failed, and give one price before any work starts. Customers who got that kind of visit called back and told their neighbors.
Today the team covers Austin from Georgetown and Round Rock down to Buda and Kyle, and the same people who answer the phone are the ones who show up at your door.
Travis Kolander opens ProFix Austin with one truck, working central Austin.
Second technician hired; coverage extended north to Round Rock and Pflugerville.
Commercial service added for restaurants and food-truck commissaries.
Service area grows to Cedar Park, Leander and Georgetown.
Stayed open through the pandemic with contactless service calls.
Coverage reaches Hays and Caldwell counties: Buda, Kyle, San Marcos and Lockhart.

Travis learned the trade rebuilding window units and chest freezers at his uncle's shop in Taylor, then spent eight years on a big-box store's in-home service contract. He started ProFix Austin with one truck and a promise to stay on site until the real fault was found.
Lucia Montemayor
Senior Technician — Built-Ins & Smart Appliances
With ProFix since 2013
Lucia handles the panel-ready refrigerators, wall ovens and Wi-Fi ranges going into new builds in Mueller, Cedar Park and Dripping Springs. She also sorts out the firmware and app problems that most service calls never get to.
Darnell Pryor
Commercial Service Lead

Darnell looks after the restaurant kitchens on East Sixth and South Congress, plus food-truck commissaries around Manor and Pflugerville. He books work around prep and service hours and keeps a log for every cooler and ice machine on the account.

Hannah plans each day's routes around MoPac and I-35 traffic, confirms arrival windows by text, and sorts out HOA gate codes and apartment access before the technician arrives.
